Cross Country is a very unique sport in the sense that muscle endurance is much more important than muscle strength & power in striving to achieve a high level of success. Our High School Cross Country Weightlifting 101 Program includes a series of foundational body weight movements that will lead to the athlete gaining strength, while simultaneously keeping muscle mass growth down to a minimum. Additionally, this program puts a special emphasis on unilateral strength due to the high volume of training that these athletes will participate in on a weekly basis.
